下马登邺城，城空复何见。
译文：下马走到邺城上面，城池空空有何所见？
注释：邺城：春秋齐邑，战国魏都，三国时魏置邺都，与长安、洛阳等合称五都，北周大象二年（580）遭战火焚毁，民众南徙，隋开皇十年（590）复为邺县。故址在今河北省临漳县。
东风吹野火，暮入飞云殿。
译文：阵阵东风吹起野火，日幕飘入昔日金殿。
注释：野火：此指焚烧枯草的火。一说为磷火，也称鬼火。飞云殿：无考，当为邺城宫殿一陈迹。
城隅南对望陵台，漳水东流不复回。
译文：城角与那望陵合遥遥相对，漳水滔滔东流一去不再回。
注释：城隅：城墙角上作为屏障的女墙。望陵台：即铜雀台，曹操筑。漳水：即漳河，流经邺城。
武帝宫中人去尽，年年春色为谁来。
译文：武帝宫殿成废墟人已去尽，年年度废春色来又是为谁？
注释：武帝：曹操死后被追尊为魏武帝。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
