雪晴天地一冰壶，竟往西湖探老逋，骑驴踏雪溪桥路。笑王维作画图，拣梅花多处提壶。对酒看花笑，无钱当剑沽，醉倒在西湖！
水仙子·西湖探梅译文及注释
译文
雪后初霁，天地仿佛一个巨大的冰壶，一片皎洁晶莹。我前往西湖去看梅，骑着小驴踏着雪渡过溪上的小桥，嘲笑王维的《雪中骑驴图》与这境界相差太远。拣几处好的梅景，在那里提壶饮酒。对着壶中的美酒，看着眼前花如笑颜般的倒影，倘若无钱饮酒，自然可以典当自己的宝剑来换酒喝，尽可醉倒在这西湖！
注释
老逋：指北宋诗人林逋，因其爱梅，故此代指梅花。
王维：唐代大诗人。
提壶：倒酒。
当剑：把佩剑典当掉。
水仙子·西湖探梅鉴赏
湖山雪霁，皎洁晶莹，犹如玲珑剔透之冰壶，在此清寒之境探寻梅花，可谓清雅之至。而探梅目的，又在寻求林逋诗意和王维画境的同时，流露出作者追攀古人高远超脱的风雅。“雪晴天地一冰壶”，以比喻写出了湖山雪霁的皎洁晶莹。“竞往西湖探老逋”，“老逋”，以人代花，显得别有情味。“对酒”三句，复以不负好景的豪兴，抒写了与唐代诗人李白“五花马，千金裘，呼儿将出换美酒”相似的情怀，表现出鲜明的个性特点。“醉倒在西湖”，是诗人摆脱一切拘束而沉湎于极乐境界的写照。
曲中作者写到两次“笑”，“笑王维作画图”：作者踏雪寻梅之美景雅趣远非王维画笔所能形容，是自我得意之笑。“对酒看花笑”：自己与梅花相对，两情相悦，是花下饮酒陶醉的笑。

元代文学家，生卒年及生平事迹均未详，《录鬼簿》及《录鬼簿续编》皆失载。青城（青城县有二，一在今山东，一在今四川，论者多以为杨朝英是）人。曾任郡守、郎中，后归隐。他最重要的贡献是选录元人散曲，辑为《乐府新编阳春白雪》、《朝野新声太平乐府》二集，人称“杨氏二选”。选辑认真，搜罗甚富，元人散曲多赖以传世，“二选”是研究元代散曲的重要资料。同时他也是一位散曲作家,作品存小令约27首,见于“二选”中。
