世间最难了断的就是感情，如何能有情尽桥呢？
就改名为折柳桥吧，该是离恨就像柳叶一条条地摆荡在心头啊!”

折柳：折柳送别，是古代习俗，取“柳”谐音“留”，表示挽留之意。
离恨：离愁别恨。
题情尽桥创作背景
854年，雍陶出任简州刺史。简州城外，有一座情尽桥，是人们送迎客人的地方。在一个春天，雍陶送客来到情尽桥不解其名，询问后他结合自己送别的感受和历来折柳送别的风俗，建议改为折柳桥。并写了这首诗送给朋友，抒发了对朋友离别的留恋不舍之情。

题情尽桥鉴赏
这诗即兴而作，直抒胸臆，笔酣墨畅，一气流注。第一句“从来只有情难尽”，即从感情的高峰上泻落。诗人以一种无可置疑的断然口气立论，道出了万事有尽情难尽的真谛。“从来”二字似不经意写出，含蕴却极为丰富，古往今来由友情、爱情织成的种种悲欢离合的故事，无不囊括其中。第二句“何事名为情尽桥”，顺着首句的势头推出。难尽之情犹如洪流淹过桥头，顺势将“情尽桥”三字冲刷而去，诗人的这个疑问也代表了他看待“情”的观点，真切地表达了前一句“情难尽”所蕴含的感情，首尾相呼应，结构紧密，更显严谨，情思绵绵，更显深长。
前两句是“破”，后两句是“立”。前两句过后，诗势略一顿挫，好像见到站在桥头的诗人沉吟片刻，很快唱出“自此改名为折柳”的诗句来。折柳赠别，是古代习俗。诗人认为改名为折柳桥，最切合人们在此桥送别时的情景了。接着，诗又从“折柳”二字上荡开，生出全诗中最为痛快淋漓、也最富于艺术光彩的末句——“任他离恨一条条”。“离恨”本不可见，诗人却化虚为实，以有形之柳条写无形之情愫，将无形之情愫量化成为一条条，使人想见一个又一个河梁送别的缠绵悱测的场面，心中的离别情殇油然而发，感情真挚动人。
诗的发脉处在“情难尽”三字。由于“情难尽”，所以要改掉“情尽桥”的名称，改为深情的“折柳桥”也是由于“情难尽”，所以宁愿他别情伤怀、离恨条条，也胜于以“情尽”名桥之使人不快。“情难尽”这一感情线索贯穿全篇，故给全文一气呵成的和谐的美感。
