译文
红叶在风中纷纷飘落，铺满了整个庭院，使人仿佛置身于诗的境界。步上台阶，只听叮叮咚咚的琴声在身畔缭绕，哦，原来正溅落着一道隐蔽的飞泉。
走出门外，已是夕阳西下，秋天的景色也失去了平时的姿彩。只剩下冷森森的万竿绿竹。沉沉的暮烟正从蜿蜒流淌的溪水上升腾起来。
注释
韦处士：韦处士生平不详，不仕之士。
绕砌：石阶。
万条寒玉：玉质清凉，故称寒玉。多用以比喻清冷雅洁之物。此指寒竹。
韦处士郊居创作背景
这首诗创作于晚唐时期，是一首描述友人韦处士郊外隐居环境之作。诗人在郊居中没找到友人，就在院内绕了一圈，看到秋色甚美便写下了这首七言绝句。
韦处士郊居鉴赏
首联写韦处士郊居庭院景物，起句描写整个庭院满是飘飞飘落的红叶，将深秋庭院装点得色彩绚丽、纹饰斑斓，极富诗情画境。所以，诗人以“诗境”二字赞叹共庭院之奇景妙境，虽然抽象，但却绝佳，堪称微妙夺神。而韦处士并不去清扫地面的红叶，顺其自然，一任红叶飘落，表现出韦处士喜爱、欣赏自然野趣的兴致。次句写韦处士室内弹琴，那清泠的琴声在庭院台阶间缭绕回旋，从琴声流荡之间，不时地从暗处传出泉水滴答的声响，琴声有暗泉的泉水滴答声响陪伴，汇成自然美妙的音韵和旋律。古代弹奏琴声，多有觅求知音的寓意。此处，写琴声有暗泉相伴，暗示出韦处士以自然天籁为知音的自得其乐的清高。
次联写韦处士郊居门外的景物。三句写门外正是秋晚黄昏晴好的天气，放眼望去，满目秋色，一个“老”字，点染出秋色的苍翠浓深。末句以“寒玉”、“溪烟”之意象描摹秋色之“老”。“寒玉”，一般形容清冽雅洁的物象，如水、月、竹。此诗“万条寒玉”，是形容、描摹韦处士门外生长了茂密的苍翠挺拔的青竹，好像万条寒洌的碧玉清高地耸立于尘世。“一溪烟”，是写韦处士门外临近一条溪流，那溪流从万条寒玉之间穿过，水面上飘浮着如烟似雾的潆漾水气，更烘衬出韦处士郊居的清幽、雅洁，特别是“寒玉”意象更具隐喻意味，似乎衬托并象征着韦处士的人格与精神。全诗一句一景，按照“满庭”与“门外”两截描摹，借境写入，见境知人，耐人寻味。
