译文
入夜，洞庭湖上昏濛濛一片，客船孤零零地停泊在湖间。只有岸上一盏青灯荧荧作闪，同我乘坐的小船遥遥相伴。舱外一阵阵北风肆逞着淫威，想必在无情地摧残着梅花的花瓣。我禁不住推开船窗观看，这才发现已是大雪漫天。顿时我诗兴大作，迫不及待要同风雪争先。雪片与暴风搅作一团，我的诗句又同飞雪互相纠缠。我朗声大笑，心情无比畅然。

水仙子·舟中鉴赏
小令前两句交代了孤舟碇泊的背景：时间是入夜，地点是洞庭湖，遥岸青荧的灯火，衬出了客船的冷寂。“洞庭烟”、“灯火青荧”，形象、色彩都有如绘画，足见作者驾驭语言及构筑意境的纯熟能力。孤舟无伴，船外又是昏茫茫一片，可想而知诗人只能蜷缩在船舱中，从而自然地度入“舟中”的题面。“朔风吹老梅花片”是意味深长的一笔。它补出了严冬的时令，还以其若实若虚的意象启人寻绎。在“夜泊洞庭边”的迷茫夜色中，是不可能望见“梅花片”的，可见全句是诗人的一种主观感觉。结合题目的“舟中”二字，则可发现此处的“朔风”，实是诗人在封闭的船舱中所获得的听觉印象。听觉印象而产生视觉效果，反映了朔风的劲烈。这种强烈的风声使作者生发了“吹老梅花片”的联想，于是才有“推开篷”细看究竟的相应举动，这样看来，“朔风”在这里还有陡至的意味。推篷是因为朔风的骤起，却得到了“雪满天”的全新发现，事出意外，惊喜顿生，难怪要“诗豪与风雪争先”了。这一句中的“豪”字，不止属于“诗”，也是对“风雪”的形容。一来它表现了风雪的劲猛，二来也说明了湖上风雪翻飞之景象，别具一种雄豪的阳刚之美。这首小令多能从无字之处读得隐微之意，再次证明了诗人遣字构像的佳妙。
以下写风、雪与诗情搅成一片，难分难辨，活脱脱是一幅江天风雪行吟图。风雪催诗，“一笑琅然”，豪情快意顿时将先前的孤寂悲冷一扫而光。全曲步步设景，层层推进，入情入理而又出新出变，是元散曲羁旅题材中一支开阔雄壮、别开生面的作品。

孙周卿[元]（约公元一三二〇年前后在世）名不详，古邠（今陕西旬邑县东北）人。生卒年均不详，约元仁宗延祐末前后在世。生平不详。孙楷第《元曲家考略》谓“邠”乃“汴”之误，则云其河南开封市人。曾客游湘南、巴丘。有女蕙兰，工诗，嫁诗人傅若金，早卒。
