译文
时节在变换，北斗星的斗柄改变了其所指的方向，太阳也好像飞到了高空。四季在循环运转，寒暑相互接替。现在的年时和日暮，就是天象运行的明证。刚才招摇星还指向东北，时值二月，转瞬大火星就从西南升起，到了秋季。时节的变换真是很迅速。悲风一直在吹，没有停歇的时候，乌云一直在接连不断地飘飞。到了冬季水面都结冰了，天气十分寒冷，滴水成冰，露水都凝结了。人生的岁月只管逝去，祥瑞的云彩很少被人乘坐使人得以升仙。想按正道而行，实行忠信哪能靠得住呢？孔子在水边的叹息——“逝者如斯夫，不舍昼夜”，不就是感慨人生短促而发的吗？在梁甫山顶上想到这些，我不禁也悲愤地抚膺叹息。
注释
玉衡：北斗七星的第五星。这里代指斗柄，北斗的柄随着时节的变换而改变方向。
骖：驾三匹马。
羲和：日神，这里指太阳。
凌：升高。
四运：指四季。
承：接替。
冉冉：逐渐。
天路：天象的运行。
招摇：即北斗第七星。招摇指向东北，时节是农历二月。
大火西南升：大火星从西南方升起。这里是指世界变换迅速。仍：接连不断。庆云：一种吉祥的云气。履信：实行忠信的道理。思顺焉足凭：指按正道而行却又哪能靠得住。临川响：指孔子在水边的叹息。

陆机（261－303），字士衡，吴郡吴县（今江苏苏州）人，西晋文学家、书法家，孙吴丞相陆逊之孙、大司马陆抗之子，与其弟陆云合称“二陆”。孙吴灭亡后出仕晋朝司马氏政权，曾历任平原内史、祭酒、著作郎等职，世称“陆平原”。后死于“八王之乱”，被夷三族。他“少有奇才，文章冠世”（《晋书·陆机传》），与弟陆云俱为中国西晋时期著名文学家，被誉为“太康之英”。陆机还是一位杰出的书法家，他的《平复帖》是中古代存世最早的名人书法真迹。
