楞伽宝山高，四面无行路。惟有达道人，乘空到彼处。
罗汉若悟空，掷锡腾空去。缘觉若悟空，醒见三生事。
菩萨若悟空，十方同一处。诸佛若悟空，妙理空中住。
空理真法身，法身即常住。佛身祇这是，迷人自不悟。
一切若不空，苦厄从何度。

庞蕴（生卒不详） 字道玄，又称庞居士，唐衡阳郡（今湖南省衡阳市）人。禅门居士，被誉称为达摩东来开立禅宗之后“白衣居士第一人”，素有“东土维摩”之称。有关他的公案时见于禅家开示拈提中，以作为行者悟道的重要参考。其传世的偈颂（迄今流传近200首）以模拟佛经偈语的风格，殷殷嘱咐学佛者修行的依归，在唐朝白话诗派中以其重于说理为一特点。至于他和女儿灵照游戏自在的情节，配合其诗偈中全家习禅的描述，不仅成为后代佛门居士向往的模范，也转而成为戏曲宝卷文学着墨的题材。
