释觉阿上人，俗姓滕，日本国人。年十四得度受具，习大小乘有声。年二十九，属商者自华回，言禅宗之盛，遂奋然拉法弟金庆渡海，拜灵隐佛海禅师。次年秋，辞游金陵，抵长芦江岸，闻鼓声忽大悟，返灵隐，作五偈述所见，辞佛海东归，住睿山寺。为南岳下十六世，灵隐佛海慧远禅师法嗣。《嘉泰普灯录》卷二○、《五灯会元》卷二○有传。今录诗五首。
