从前杨朱的邻居请他派仆人帮他去找丢失的一只羊，杨子问他为什么要那么多的人去找，邻居说丢失羊的路上有很多岔道，所以要很多人去找。过了很久，派出去找羊的人回来说没有找到，邻居说岔道上又分许多岔道，根本没法找了。
